We want to thank all of our applicants for sharing with us your stories, your journeys, and allowing us to learn about you and your relationship with live theatre. We heard from so many of you, and have been unbelievably moved. The thing about live theatre is that it brings so many different worlds together, and we saw those worlds reflected in our applications.
From musicians, to costume designers, actors, and technicians … There is a gifted community that lives among us in the Greater Syracuse area, and we hope to watch you grow as you pursue your careers in your respective fields. This group of seniors and their applications shined thanks to their wide-ranging talents and commitment to the many facets that make theatre possible—from performance and design to technical production, sound, and costuming. Each student brings a unique vision and dedication to their craft, reflecting the collaboration and creativity at the heart of Broadway. We are so excited to bring this group of students along during our 2025-2026 M&T Bank Broadway Season. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
The “Broadway’s Stars of the Future” Campaign is an inspiring, summer-long initiative shining a spotlight on four exceptional high school seniors in the Syracuse area who are passionate about musical theatre. Through a dynamic partnership between Broadway in Syracuse and Hey It’s Just Jamie, this project opens the door to the world of professional theatre—offering selected students season tickets, exclusive behind-the-scenes access, creative development opportunities, and a chance to share their journeys with the community. This campaign isn’t just about witnessing the stage—it’s about stepping onto it, feeling the spark, and knowing that your story belongs in the spotlight.

“We wanted to join Jamie on this incredible program because there is nothing better than nurturing a child’s dream. For some, seeing a Broadway show is not always a possibility, but something they’ve always dreamed of. It takes one show, one song, or even one performance, to unlock a newfound dream or passion. We’re hoping this program will serve not only as an opportunity to expose a younger generation to the world of theatre, but cultivate a community for these young applicants. Now more than ever, it is essential to showcase the importance of the arts in our communities, and the value it brings to people’s lives, and through this program we hope to enrich our Future Stars with that education and appreciation. The gift of live theatre, and the chance to give this experience to passionate, dedicated, and aspiring theatre members is something we are incredibly proud and excited to be a part of.
This program is looking for students who wish to enter into the world of theatre, whether that’s on the stage, behind the curtain, on the production-side, or even marketing, we are excited to be able to bring a wide range of opportunities to our selected applicants.”
